‘Crazy, Stupid, Love.’ Review

Crazy Stupid Love Movie Poster

Looking at this movie, there isn’t a whole lot of negative to say about it. It stars Steve Carell (everyone loves Steve) and Ryan Gosling (I’m a big fan… loved ‘Stay’), with supporting actors Emma Stone, and Julianne Moore. It’s a comedy-love story about a doomed marriage and a stranger helping a man in need.

Sad-sack divorcée Cal Weaver (Steve Carell) finds his second wind in life after meeting a handsome young ladies’ man who teaches him how to become a master of the modern…

Atlas Shrugged Part 1 Image

Atlas Shrugged Part 1 Review For any of you who have read the book Atlas Shrugged (I haven’t), they are making a film adaptation of this 1957 novel. Even though I don’t know anything about the book, after viewing the trailer for the movie… it looks boring. It looks like a soap opera mixed with [...]

Hanna Review

Hanna Poster

Hanna Review There have been plenty of creepy evil little kid movies, the first one that comes to mind is ‘The Good Son’ way back in 1993 but there have been similar movies as recently as last year with the ‘Let Me In’ (except she was a vampire). This movie has a similar theme creepy [...]

Soul Surfer Review

Soul Surfer Poster

Soul Surfer Review I’m all for true story movies and while this movie is truly inspirational, from a movie stand-point it’s not very well put together. Yes, it has Denis Quaid but he has a really small role. Besides Quaid, the lead actress is okay for the role that she is playing. However all the [...]

11-11-11 Poster

11-11-11 Review Just to get rid of the confusion… 11-11-11 is the title of this upcoming horror movie as well as the release date. I’m not much for horror movies but this one is being made by the same director that brought you Saw 2, 3, and 4… Mr. Darren Bousman. There is a group [...]

Arthur Review

Arthur Poster

Arthur Review Most of you know Russell Brandas the rock star from ‘Forgetting Sarah Marshall’ and ‘Get Him to the Greek’ in which he plays a drunken rock star playboy. The character he is portraying in ’Arthur‘reminds me of the character played by Johnny Depp in “Benny and Joon” except more perverse. In the trailer below [...]

Source Code Review

Source Code Poster

Source Code Review Jake Gyllenhaal, oh how your awesomeness grows with each passing movie (except for that one movie where he plays that cowboy… I’m not a homophobe, I just don’t like to think of Jake in that light. I don’t think Jake likes to think of Jake in that light.). Cowboys aside, Jake is [...]

Insidious Review

Insidious Poster

Insidious Review From the creators of Saw and Paranormal Activity comes a new thriller of a possessed boy called ‘Insidious‘. Since it is made by the same people that made Saw and Paranormal Activity it does spark my interest but there is one problem I have right off the bat. The plot for this movie [...]

Diary of a Wimpy Kid 2: Rodrick Rules Review

Diary of a Wimpy Kid 2

Diary of a Wimpy Kid 2: Rodrick Rules Review Diary of a Wimpy Kid was surprisingly successful on its release so it makes good sense to come out with a sequel. I never really saw it, it didn’t really appeal to me but I’ve heard plenty of people saying that it’s a good movie. It [...]
