Clash of the Titans Trilogy

It seems that Louis Leterrier has announced the possibility of turning ‘Clash of he Titans‘ into a trilogy. Leterrier has talked with Warner Bros. and they’ve come to an agreement that if ‘Clash’ does well at the box office whenever the movie comes out on April 2nd then the production company is going to green light the project for a second movie. Originally Leterrier had signed up for three movies but Warner Bros. was still on the fence about the second and third installment (and apparently Warner Bros. still isn’t so sure about the trilogy). Leterrier also hinted that anyone who watches the movie in theaters may want to stay until after the credits, you might be glad you did.

I have no overly fond memories of the original 1981 “Clash of the Titans,” although Ray Harryhausen’s stop-motion special effects were zippy and Laurence Olivier as Zeus was Olympian camp. (With the possible exception of his work as Neil Diamond’s rabbi father in “The Jazz Singer,” this is probably the performance Sir Laurence would have least liked to be remembered for.)
