Due Date Review

Been a while since I’ve seen a comedy with Robert Downey Jr. It’s true, there are plenty of lines in Sherlock Holmes that made me laugh but here is a true comedy that really shows off the comedic talent of Robert Downey Jr. and he is acompanied by funnyman/sidekick Zach Galifianakis (from The Hangover).

I’m a big fan of Robert Downey Jr. so it’s always a treat to see him on the big screen. I’m also a big fan of Zach’s style of comedy which is why I’m crossing my fingers wishing for a Zach Galifianakis movie that also stars Will Ferrell…. maybe someday. Luckily though there are movies like this for me to sink my teeth into.

This movie seems to be filled with tons of comedy, since it’s directed by the same guy that brought you ‘The Hangover’ it’s sure to keep you laughing the whole way through. In it Robert Downey Jr.’s character (Peter Highman – Why didn’t they just name him Male Female… think about it) needs to get to the hospital in order to witness the birth of his child. After getting put on the no-fly list for airplanes, Peter is forced to go on a road trip with Zach’s character (Ethan Tremblay) in order to make it to the hospital in Los Angeles on time. On this road trip Peter has to put up with Ethan’s constant talking and somehow make it to the hospital in one piece.

This movie is guaranteed to have plenty of one-liners that you will walk away with and tell your friends. The trailer alone has me repeating some of the lines in my head. Don’t take my word for it… check out the trailer for yourself…
