James Cameron: Avatar Sequels
Avatar, the huge box office hit is being re-released in cinemas this month on the 27th. Deadline.com has an audio file of director James Cameron with MTV talking about his plans for the future of Avatar and it can also be found at the bottom of this post. Very little plot details and ideas are given away in this interview but he does mention making Avatar 1 and 2 back-to-back.
Seems James Cameron is also working on an Avatar novel adaptation telling where the world of Pandora could be heading. This novel will expand on the universe and can “ideally become a bible for any other writers who want to come along and riff off other Avatar stories”.
Seeing how huge of a hit Avatar was, it makes perfect since to ride the Pandora train for as long as possible. James Cameron is very passionate about his creation, it makes perfect business sence to make these sequels and for all the fans (myself included) hopefully we will get to see a lot more of Pandora and this universe it’s in. Also… I may check out the novel.
