‘Pixels’ Movie Being Developed by Happy Madison
An animated short film called ‘Pixels’ was released in April by Patrick Jean and Paris visual effects studio One More Productions. In this short film some classic 80′s video games come out of a screen to terrorize New York with their programmed behavior, with such games like Tetris, Space Invaders, Donkey Kong, Pac-Man, and others.
Adam Sandler’s Happy Madision team is working with Jean as they all headed out to a Columbia Pictures studio to set the project up. The Basis of the movie is to make a “Ghostbuster-like” action comedy in where these games escape into the real world to terrorize it. No release date has been set, as of right now there is no writer, director, or actors involved. I’ll try and keep you guys updated on any other news on the subject.
Even if this idea falls through and they decide not to go through with this movie idea, you all should still check out the original web video if you haven’t seen it yet and tell me what you think about this as a full length motion picture.
