Ramona and Beezus
Ever just have one of those days where you just really don’t want to do anything. Well, lets just say that writing this article is especially difficult for me today. But my readers deserve material, so the show must go on.
In this review we have a story about a girl named Ramona (played by Joey King) based off the book series written by Beverly Cleary. Ramona is considered strange compared to any other child her age. Using her imagination she recreates the world around her into epic scenes of fantasy. Her older sister Beezus (Selena Gomez) thinks Ramona is a pain and anoying. Throughout the movie Beezus really starts to see how special Ramona is to her and how unique of a personality her little sister has.
I’m loving the fantasy that I’m seeing in the trailer and Joey King’s acting looks surprisingly talented for her age. She does an amazing job of playiung a goofy, strange, little kid (granted, I realize Joey King is a kid and that playing a kid isn’t that far of a stretch… just watch the trailer, you may agree with me). However this movie really is too much of a ‘chick-flick’ for me to pay to see in theaters. It’s definetely going on my list of future DVD rentals though.
