‘The Adventures of Tintin’ Images
As some of you know ‘The Adventures of Tintin’ started off as a comic strip about a young Belgian reporter and his fox terrier dog Snowy. Well it seems they are making this European famous comic strip into a movie that has been dubbed ‘The Adventures of Tintin: The Secret of the Unicorn’ which the title alone tells me that it’s probably something I won’t be interested in. I’m all about fantasy movies… but unicorns… really?
I could be wrong though, not alot is known about this movie. One thing the movie really has going for it is the actor that plays the voice of Tintin is Jamie Bell who I am a fan of. In fact I just wrote another Jamie Bell movie review just yesterday called ‘The Eagle’. He has a lot of talent and he could really bring something to this role. Even though it is just voice acting and great voice acting alone won’t make a movie good.

“The Adventures of Tintin: Secret of the Unicorn” is the first in the series of 3D motion capture films based on the iconic character created by Georges Remi, better known to the world by his pen name “Herge” and is due for release in 2011. The film stars Jamie Bell as Tintin, the intrepid young reporter whose relentless pursuit of a good story thrusts him into a world of high adventure, and Daniel Craig as the nefarious Red Rackham. Bell and Craig are joined by an international cast that includes Andy Serkis, Simon Pegg, Nick Frost, Gad Elmaleh, Toby Jones and Mackenzie Crook.
Like I said, there isn’t a lot of details released so far on this movie except the cast. But the cast is definitely interesting… we have everything from James Bond to Smeagol. That would be great by itself but Simon Pegg and Nick Frost (Shaun of the Dead, Hot Fuzz) thrown in there brings the movie to a whole new level of awesomeness. Hopefully the story line isn’t as bad as the title, if so this movie has a lot of potential.
