The Other Guys
I am seeing this movie in theaters. Usually im not really sure if I’m going to see a movie but this is a no doubt ‘going to go see’ type movie. Why is this movie so awesome that I must see it? Four words… Will Ferrell is awesome, enough said. This movie really throws you a curveball though. His comic sidekick in this hilarious looking movie… Mark Wahlberg. When I think of comedy I typically wouldn’t think of Mark Wahlberg but he seems to pull it off in his own little way. To top this movie off, Steve Coogan is going to be playing the villain and Adam McKay (same director from ‘Anchorman’ and ‘Talladega Night’) is going to the be directing this film.
Most people are probably going to be tired of Will portraying the same type role to the point where this movie could potentially fail. I hope it doesn’t fail but he is of course playing pretty much the same character in this movie as he has played in almost all his movies. To all the diehard Ferrell fans though, this is going to be an excellent addition to your collection.
In this movie you have the awesome steriotypical action movie police officers and then you have the other guys. Allen Gamble (Will Ferrell) and Terry Hoitz (Mark Wahlberg) want to be just link there action cop heros so they try and solve the latest case by themselves and be the hero (not a lot of details on what the case actual consists of). They soon realize that the world of an action cop isn’t all its cracked up to be as they are chased, almost caught in an exploding building, shot at by people and helicopters. Watch as this mismatched team tries to uncover the truth behind this case.
I just have one last thing to say about this trailer, I am watching it for the third time now because I have to? No… because its that good.
