Top Ten Movies to See For 2010
So I don’t really feel up to posting about a movie right now so I figured I would put a list of movies that I want to see the most for the rest of 2010. This list is subject to change as more information comes out about these movies and as the movies are released because the list is for movies I want to see in the future instead of movies that are already out. Everyone is of course going to have their own opinion about this list. A lot of people might disagree (especially with my number one choice) but I guarantee that your all going to like at least a few of these movies.
- The Last Airbender – The number one pick is a hard choice, I was struggling between two different movies for the number one spot but really it is probably tied with my number two pick. I love the show that this movie is based off of (Avatar: The Last Airbender) and by the looks of the trailer M. Night Shyamalan has captured the essence of the show very well.
- Iron Man 2 – Huge fan of Marvel comics (mostly Spiderman and X-Men though) and Marvel movies, plus Robert Downey Jr. is awesome so this movie is easily a must see.
- Toy Story 3 – I grew up watching the Toy Storys and other Disney movies. The trailer really hasn’t disappointed me at all, so far it looks just what I think a Toy Story installment should look like.
- Legend of the Guardians – This is another hard call, it was tough to pick between this movie and my number five pick. I never read the books that this movie is based off of but this movie is made by the same people that brought you Happy Feet, the animation looks amazing. Its definetely not your typical movie, theres something that sets this one apart from most. Its hard to be at least curious by this one.
- Kick Ass – This move just looks like a lot of fun. Being a big comic book and all around super-hero nerd, this movie just looks perfect for me. Plus as an added bonus it has Nicolas Cage and Christopher Mintz-Plasse.
- The Other Guys – The only reason this movie beat my number seven spot is because this one has Will Ferrell in it. If he wasn’t in it the Sorcerer’s Apprentice would of easily won it. Its hard to describe what its like to be a Will Ferrell fan, you know he’s stupid but for some reason thats funny… its weird.
- Sorcerer’s Apprentice – Fantasy is one of my favorite genres, a story where an average person ends up having powers and talent beyond imagine. Plus its another movie with Nicolas Cage and the man has a lot of talent at what he does.
- Dinner for Schmucks – Starring Steve Carell and Paul Rudd… do I really need to say more?
- Despicable Me – This is another one with Steve Carell, he plays the voice of Gru the main character. Plus I tend to like the average animated movie and this one looks especially interesting.
- Knight and Day/Killers – Couldn’t decide with my number ten spot, both of these movies are similar and both have excellent actors. Both Tom Cruise (Knight and Day) and Ashton Kutcher (Killers) play some sort of government agent. Both of these movies also have plenty of action with a touch of comedy so, I might see both of these or only just one… it just depends.

Prince of persia? Love and other drugs?
True Prince of Persia is going to be an awesome movie but I’m just not as excited right now as I am about some of these other movies. I don’t know why I’m not that excited about it, it does deserve more praise but right now I’m not feeling the love for it. However, this top ten list is only for upcoming movies and Kick-Ass is coming out soon so there will be a spot open and Prince of Persia will probably receive it. As for Love and Other Drugs, I haven’t looked that closely at it. I’m a real visual person so I won’t be able to really appreciate it until I see some sort of trailer. This list is ever changing so it may eventually be on there, until then I really want to thank you for your thoughts.
